Manual-Choke Kit for Weber 38 DGAS Carburetor
Does Weber or anyone else make a manual-choke kit for their two-barrel carburetors?--this is a replacement for the Solex 4A1 on the DOHC M110 engines. Closing the butterfly seems to eliminate the stagger off idle. I don't know whether re-jetting would really improve performance--the carb just doesn't seem big enough for the application.

"Closing the butterfly seems to eliminate the stagger off idle."
I haven't seen a manual choke, maybe a generic kit at the auto parts store will fit. I am struggling with the same problem. I have 220,000 miles, and when idling, the rpm's drop, I lose vacuum and the engine dies. I tried larger idle jets, but the engine floods when coming to a stop. I am beginning to believe the 38/38 is too large, for idle/low rpm performance. I also wonder if my distributor is worn out.
