1970 250C EURO cam problem

Help! I have a 1970 W114.021 euro 250C with 4 speed. 2 weeks ago it started to get a noisy valve train tapping. I pulled the valve cover yesterday and started to adjust the valves. When I got to the rear most valve I noticed that the cam lobe was worn and the gap was over 2.0 mm. The adjuster was already to its max so I couldn't tighten it up any more. I tried to check to see if my cam is the same as the W114.023 US version but the russian site is no longer up for me to compare the part numbers. Can I get the cam repaired or does anyone have one laying around they would like to sell? I will also need a rocker arm as well. Does anyone know where there is an online part number listing? Thanks

I would think a really good machine shop, think high $$ race car guys, could weld up cut and heat treat that lobe that is worn for you. Euro cam's are around but not just real plentiful, or cheap. I suspect one could run a pair of US cams and not loose more than a little power and mileage.

IN 1970 there were virtually no emission requirements. I suspect you will not notice any loss if you go with a us spec cam.

I just got off the phone with Joe at American Custom Cam in Covina,Ca who quoted me $80.00 to weld and regrind the cam. He says he has access to the factory specs for the cam lobes. Does anyone have some rocker arms available? I will check to see what new ones go for as well. Thanks, Richard

Rocker arms should be quite cheap. Maybe a quick call to a dealer would be best. You don't want to trash a new cam with old rockers.

Is there anyway to polish the existing rockers?
