Her name is Anthracite - The W108 thread

1971 280SE - just over 42,000 miles - All original - Normal maintenance - latest updates: new front sub-frame mounts, new front stabilizer mounting kit, ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, new Bosch fuel injectors, new tires.

Some of you might remember this thread back in February started by Hatterasguy asking about the W108.

Then a short time later Tyler860 started the car of the month thread.

Additional pics can be seen at the 2 links above.

Some new detail shots from June 7, 2010 are below after I took Anthracite out for an exercise (not in any particular order), hope they put a smile on your face:

Good Lord, that car belongs in a museum.

Is that the original paint?

That is what this forum is for! People who lost their beautiful vintage cars need only to look at this to see that they can always restart their quest for perfection! Taking it to any shows?

That's the only car I've ever seen on a forum that really qualifies for "factory fresh"

NICE!

The German air is only in the original spare, the tires that where taken off where mounted in 1984 with New Jersey air, now that was an experience .
