So, your solex solution is to just get a 280E motor, haha, nice.

BTW, I had a feeling it would be simple enough to swap bumpers, kind of like the ones on my 914.

smaller bumpers

Well today was my day off,did not get all my projects done but I did get to sneak down to the shop and look at the 280c.I'm sure all you have to do to install small bumpers is to grind off the angle bracket and bolt on the bumpers. That is if you have all the hardware. Not sure what I'm going to do yet probably shorten the shocks since my son like's these knee knockers, and we are doing this car together. If I give in here may I can talk him into going back to the old style steering wheel which I like better.Ataching a few pictures orange tape points out the bracket that must be removed. Also will do some pictures on how to shorten a shock in the near future.Keep them running.Bob

I don't recall what model it came off of; it's obviously not perfect. Should I grab the mounting brackets???
That looks like a W108...

Did you say trash? We are going to take away your finger nails if you do that again. Put it on Ebay for $1.00 and be shocked when it hits $240.00. Somebody desperately wants that bumper for their W108.

I'd like to replace my steering wheel with an older one as well, I really like the older classic style. Please keep us posted on that project as well.

I was hoping someone would come get it. Sorry for the thread hijack --- would there be a part number on it to confirm?
