Orderd a set of kidney shaped phanelic spacers for the Zeniths. (Thank you Phil).
Also picked up a baum sync adaptor and a metric dial caliper / depth gauge.
Going to dive back into the carbs and hopfully get them operating perfect.

Does anyone has a pic of a 72 250C shroud? Is it a 110 PN# or a 114?
I have a "never been installed" 1145050755 shroud if anyone needs one.

I read some threads about people using two electric fans. This is looking like a nice option.
I just got my parts books with part numbers. That shroud IS correct for my car according to the book. I noticed the engine is sitting low in the back and high in the front. the fan blade darn near hits the upper radiator hose.

Check the condition of the trans mount and the four mounts that the front axle assembly sits on. if any are worn/squashed the engine will be at the wrong angle.
The shroud for a US delivered 250 C is either # A114 505 01 55 or A 114 505 06 55

Poop. dont tell me I have a Euro parts book. Parts manual says "C" and "CE". I may have just read the wrong column.
I will check the mounts. i will bet they are all shot. Thanks Mercmad.

I did not do much work at all this Labor Day weekend. Mostly BBQ & Beer and tropical storms.

yes CE's are different. I don't think they were sold in the US but there shroud should be # A 114 505 07 55 . Does your car have a oil cooler? The non oil cooler equipped cars have a different shroud .

All my books are in Italian. But the books do have service stamps and dealer cards and all the misc crap they accumulate over 40 years which is kind of neat. Still, it would be nice to be able to read the owners manual

Scratching head...

Scratching head... I looked in the parts book for the 250 C and 250CE. In the column for the 114 023 (which is on the tag on my 250C) it has P/N 114 505 07 55. " " 021 shows the 05 55 P/N and 22 shows 06 55 P/N.
I have not noticed a oil cooler. Only trasmission cooling line going into the bottom of the radiator. Electric aftermarket fans are looking like the way to go.

This book has three languages. German / English / and French.
This part book is going at me.

Thanks all.

LMAO

FRENCH GUARD: How you English say, 'I one more time, mac, unclog my nose in your direction', sons of a window-dresser! So, you think you could out-clever us French folk with your silly knees-bent running about advancing behavior?! I wave my private parts at your aunties, you cheesy lot of second hand electric donkey-bottom biters.
ARTHUR: In the name of the Lord, we demand entrance to this sacred castle!
FRENCH GUARD: No chance, English bed-wetting types. I burst my pimples at you and call your door-opening request a silly thing, you tiny-brained wipers of other people's bottoms!
