1971 280SE Fuel line hose concerns

I bought some EFI fuel lines from pep boys for my 1971 280SE (straight six) because one of them was leaking fuel.

I am a bit concerned because I am not sure if I can use the EFI fuel lines.

Does anyone know what the fuel pressure rating is for the 280SE's? Will the EFI fuel lines hold the pressure or will it eventually burst?

Any recommendations on the minimal pressure rating of the fuel lines that I should look for?

Thanks a bunch.

Shadesh

Firstly, the engine uses mechanical fuel injection. Secondly, please take some pictures of the new fuel line so we know what your writing about.

Shadesh,

The fuel pressure on EFI is generally higher than mechanical fuel injection. What are you using to connect the hose? Does the hose slip over something and is clamped on? Do you have fittings that screw on attached to the hose?

Pictures would make it easier to form an opinion. Do you have a throttle body or carbs? I know the 280SE is supposed to be fuel injected, but you mentioned doing an engine swap and it could have carbs now. Fuel injection would use a fuel rail and connections to each injector. You definitely want fresh solid rubber between your fuel rail and the injectors.
