250SE Windscreen/windshield trim Q

Hi, my w108 250se is missing it's windscreen trim/brightwork, but I have a new trim that came with the car- was wondering if the screen has to come out to fit it or can it be pressed into the rubber seal with the screen on the car?

cheers...

Not certain about this but I don't think it can just be pressed in. I think some kind of special string manipulaiton is required. Hopefully someone else can chip in with more info soon. Lovely pic by the way. I just spent two weeks in England on vacation and those rolling farm fields remind me of the area around my brothers place.

It presses in. No special tools, just be careful and lube the seal well first. (Did mine last year)

Spraying the rubber and the trim with silicone spray might help too.
