250C pics

Peachers,

I just gave Fritz a good wash this weekend and thought I'd post a few pics. The car runs great. I've put a little work into the vehicle and there's still more to do but hey, that's half the fun, right? The forum has been a great source of help since I purchased the car last year, thanks to all for creating such a valuable resource!

What a beautiful car. It's nice to see the W114 coupes gaining so much attention. The have a lot of the old world charm but with new car ride and handling.

I agree with Al (although I can't see the pictures due to a filter at work)...I think the W114 will eventually hit the collector market upswing, just a hunch though. They really can be great cars when they are spruced up to like-new specs (new weatherstripping, tuned up etc)

Love your car, the silver looks more European. I also love that steerin wheel and the tiny bumpers.
Gorgeous car.

I like the silver too but i think that ivory color is also quite nice. Has anyone seen the new W114-W115 /8 forum?

It's fairly quite right now but has some potential.

I really like your ride too. The thin bumpers are a lot nicer, IMO. Anyway, looks real clean with lots of potential to make it pristine. Any rust at all? Any problems with the Zenith carbs?

No problems with the carbs, car runs great, but there are some small rust issues in the footwells especially. Be happy to get advice on a cost-effective way to address that problem, if that's not an oxymoron...

Front plate might provide a clue.

JonA, I am fortunate, mine doesn't have any rust and it was originally a Southern California car. If the rust is quite bad, the only way I know of (from these forums) is find a good W114, cut them out and have them welded into yours. I know a lot of them also have rust low, behind the rear fender wells. I only used mine as a daily driver for about the first 4 years of ownership (I've had it over 24 years), and now it sits in the garage or storage unless the weather is nice out. No chance of rust now.
