1975 240D Problem

First time post. Drove my 1975 240D to work today, no problem. Went to start it up to leave at the end of the day and the car smoked bad and idled real fast. The car acted like it was stuck at half throttle and smoked bad (white/blue smoke). Any ideas on my problem. I believe the IP diaphram is bad/

Do you have any vacuum left in the door locks or the brake booster?

It sounds like a vaccum pump diaphram tear which has happened with both of the W115's I have owned. It will smoke like crazy and even worse when you accelerate or decelerate in gear causing a bump in the manifold vacuum causing a huge smokescreen behind you evidenced by the honking and finger gestures of the people behind you.
