Shims under the trans mount

Hi all,

below is a picture of shims I got out of a W108 4.5:



EPC shows the thinnest one (on the right), but not the thickest one. By the marks on them it is clear they were fitted one on top of each other. I also have a spare one of the thickest type out of another car, so it's obviously an original part. My question is why and when should that thickest shim be fitted?

I'm asking because I had to raise the front of the engine by 1cm in the front (whashers in between the engine brackets and engine mounts) to clear all the steering linkages with my 5.0 downpipes. So I would like to lift the back of the trans so not to have vibrations in the prop shaft due to a wrong angle. I have all I need to do it, I just need to know what the original set up is.
