1975 280c Neutral Safety switch

Hello, I have removed my NSS from the transmission of my '75 280c but am now having trouble putting the new one back on. Any tips or tricks that i could try??

I dimly recall needing to lower the trans by removing the support plate when I messed with this in my 280C. Don't forget to support the trans with a jack.
