Need Wiper Part
Hi,I need this wiper part for a 1967 W110 230. It has a new motor installed by PO. The wipers didnt work when I turned them on but could hear the motor running. I took the motor off of the firewall and popped the ball from the rod. It looks like the little offset bracket that bolts to the motor shaft is stripped. the shaft still had teeth on the spline but the hole in the bracket is slick ( looks like it should corresponding grooves/ teeth also). So the shaft just spins on the bracket The picture is of the motor and bracket. Thanks for any help and response.

If the splined motor-shaft is tapered, and simply tightening the nut doesn't sedure the drive-arm anymore, you may be able to put a washer between the nut & arm to make it grip. Otherwise you may need a new arm.
In any case, once you get it so you can secure the drive-arm to the shaft, you'll probably need to leave the nut loose until after you reinstall the motor, in order to properly position/align the arm & wiper linkage before finally tightening the nut. Happy Motoring, Mark

Thanks for your help Mark. Yes I will try a lock washer under the nut but the shaft turns in the motor when it starts getting tight, makes it difficult to get really tight but it also makes "positioning" or placement of the bracket not crucial because it spins around still. In other words you can position it as needed to connect the ball back in its joint on the wiper rod when reinstalling I think. The wipers are hand-clap style so the shaft turns only in one direction. Hope this makes sense =). Thanks
