Anyone looking for a 380?
A friend of mine has a PERFECT 1981 380 sel.
He is the original owner of the car and it has just under 60,000 miles. I know these cars don't bring in much $$$$ but this one is about as perfect as you can find, a true, 9/10 car, all original. I'm not sure how much he's trying to get for it, I was looking at it for myself but these models don't do a lot for me. When I asked what he wanted for it, his response was, "I don't know." I explained that the resale value is really bad and that they often only get a couple grand, even in good condition. I decided NOT to make an offer and insult my friend so I just backed off but told him that I'd keep my ears and eyes open. To the right person, it is probably worth much more. Not sure if the car had the cam chain fix or not but I didn't ask. I'm sure the records are all there to indicate if it has been done. The car is a silver blue with blue interior. When I say perfect, I mean perfect. The owner is by far, the cleanest clean freak I know. If anyone is slightly interested, I'd be happy to put you in touch with the guy, the car is in NW Indiana and has NEVER been driven in the snow and always garage kept. |

I recently bought a 380 SE for $500 . I bought it to wreck for parts and as I was driving it home I realized it was gem. it's an ex Japan (no emissions gear) 99,000 original miles, blue leather interior,Metallic torquoise green ,and it's so clean underneath, the cad plating on the bolts look like new . I'm going to use it as a daily driver because it's so good. If it were left hand drive I would advertise it in Germany where "young timer Classic W126's " are appreciated and sought after .
So,If your friends car is that clean with the ALL IMPORTANT service history, you could try advertising on Egay.de or any of the German classic car sites . |
