Unknown part (109)
From my 1970 6.3: This pic is a piece of wiring behind the sheet metal under the passenger kick panel where the a/c blower motor goes. Anybody know what that big connector is for? Does not seem to be part of the blower wiring, but I can't see back behind the sheet metal.

That looks after market install. May be something to do with the audio system?

That connector was wrapped up and zip tied in a plastic sandwich bag behind the panel. I am guess that was not standard MB practice...

Does your car have a power antenna? Factory power antennas are located in that area. You get to them by removing a panel behind the right front tire so the plug is in the right place for one.
As the factory power antenna was rare even on the 6.3 a PO might have added an aftermarket unit and just cobbled in a connection. |

My '70 6.3 had a factory power antenna. Did not know that was unusual.

A power antenna was considered by many to be just too much luxury. Power antennas were on all American upscale cars, but during that era many people just could not see the need for them.
Therefore, if they were optional, many people did without them. |

The power cord to that connector is huge, almost the size of battery cable, but more flexible. Delivers a lot of juice to something.

undo the tape and take the connection apart. If that white thing has like 2 or three flat progs that remind you of a european wall plug, it's for the antenna. -CTH
