transmission fill/drain bolts

how big of an allen wrench do i need for the transmission fill and drain plugs? it looks about 1/2"

Metric,Metric,Metric.

Either 14mm or 17mm (I can't remember which)

perhaps it is both 14 and 17 then. The drain plug looks larger (haven't measured either) thanks for letting me know they are metric, i should have guessed. even the "american" cars have so many metric fasteners.

Warning - be sure you can open the fill hole before you open the drain hole. Don't ask how I know.

They are 14mm. Make sure to crack loose the fill plug first. If you pull the drain plug first then can't get the fill plug out, you have no way of filling the trans up again.
