Fuel tank vent location '77 300D
All,
I have a collapsed fuel tank and am getting a replacement. In an effort to check the vent system I found the bell shaped fitting on the end of the vent line and traced it back to the tank. I do not however see and actual vent valve anywhere. The line goes straight to the tank. I can't find a location on line anywhere so I hope you all can help. Thank you inadvance! Coopnjaxdad

I'm not sure if the diesels use a vent valve or not, but on the gassers it is located left side under the rear passenger footwell.

yes if it is there just a little line with a diamond, bell shaped apperatus on the end for gassers, but I dont think the diesels have it,

No actual valve or anything like that, just the vent line.
Yep, tank was pretty badly collapsed, started leaking at the welds. I'll snap a pic or two and attach later. Thanks for the help everyone.
