'78 300D Idle Control

I have read up on how to adjust the idle, is there a control that maintains the idle speed according to temperature, or it just a fixed setting? As it is now, I have to adjust the dash idle speed controller as the engine warms. I just got the car (161K) so I am going through it.

Fixed idle with the manual twist knob on the dash only. No compensating by engine control/sensors.

I will be adjusting my valves, that may give a more consistent idle.
I have read good things about Monarch injector nozzles. I found them on ebay, I may try them. I believe that the ones in the car now have been in for a while and the previous owner was using biodiesel, not sure what the effect on cleaniness that the bio would have.
