shot regulator in '68 280se?

Passenger window now shudders up and once all the way at the top it keeps clunking over and over, sounds pretty loud and not good.

From what I've read its a regulator issue. Worn teeth?

I'm going to pull the door card in the next week or so and take some photos

does it sound like a regulator problem from the symptoms?

Yes, it's the regulator. It's very common for them to fail, especially when the operator holds the button after the window is all the way up. The ends of the gear teeth are now stripped off. Eventually you'll have trouble keeping the window up as it will always tend to slide back down.

Best Regards,

David

Are early '68 w108's 2 wire or 3 wire?

Any advise would be great!
