How about a stickied junk yard thread?

I've been seeing quite a few older benzes in a yard I tend to frequent. Right now there's a V8 W108, and 220 diesel with a four on the floor, and a gas ponton. If there was a stickied j-yard thread we could post up what we see at the local yards and if someone is looking for a part from whatever car they could reply in the thread or send us a PM.

I think the biggest issue is it winds up localized. I got lucky and did find 108's at Harry's in the past, but I've gone about 30 times and only have seen them there 5 of them (if that). Most 108/109 vehicles in junkyards are in the south or west (or SW). Very few NE yards have any, and the middle of the nation is sparse as well.

Isn't the idea of a thread like this that something doesn't have to be localized? For instance if someone back east wanted the fog lights off of the W108, then I could pull them next time I'm at the yard send them back east in exchange for their yard price plus S&H. I've seen people post up that so-and-so benz is available at so-and-so yard, but if we had one thread for everyone then hopefully we could get more parts to people who wouldn't be able to access them normally at a reasonable price.

That would be very nice. I remember seeing 3 pontons in the Pull-A-Part once...

I have a friend who got a cheap 1968 200D with automatic transmission for parts. Maybe I can talk him into selling the transmission pan. No promises, though.
