Window channels fuzz
I replaced the window channel material on my 109 car and previously my windows sped up and down, now they struggle and stutter on the way up. What should be used to lubricate this stuff? It is pretty stiff out of the box.
thanks

Teflon spray. Learned this from a thread on this site. Found the Dupont version at Lowe's for about $5 a can. Great stuff -- hope it solves your problem.

This is what I would recommend. McLube Sailcoat, it is used on mainsails to make them glide up and down the sail track. It is a fast drying non sticky lubricant.
Their website is here Watch the videos on the site. It can be purchased at any West Marine store or other boating store that caters to sailers. I coated all of my window tracks last spring after removing each door panel, the can comes with a red nozzle extension, just start at the uppermost part of the window track (with the window in the up position) and spray it to the bottom of the track. I agree that McLube SailKote is the way to go, as it is purpose made to spray on cloth and not eat anything with solvents. Dries in just a few minutes, so it must have solvents, but just friendly ones.
McLube makes other interesting dry coat lubrication sprays that I also use quite liberally, not just to lube but also to preserve. Imagine a spray you use in the winches of a boat. It needs to lubricate, but not go all over the deck and ruin the seating areas, clothes and sails. It needs to survive sitting at a dock for weeks on end getting rained on, then it is needed for lubrication, salt water is all over the place. This is what they specialize in.

SailKote looks promising, but I recently added just a few small drops of Tri-Flow teflon liquid - not spray - to the channels with miraculous results.
