how my 73 220d is going....Almost done!!!

i bought my 73 220d for 1400 dollars

when i got it home it needed a lot of body work as the wings were starting to rust badly, however the structure of the car was perfect

thanks to this forum, the car is now driving and just needs a few more details to be finished.

the car needs a complete detail, needs new interior kick panels(i just need to cut and re upholster) and the windshields sealed.

since i bought it i spent about 350 on body supplies and paint
70 on a new tie rod
600 on carpets
60 on an allignment
100 at junkyard on misc parts
and 50 on an oil cooler

i own this for less than 2500 and i think its well worth it, it drives great. has all original paperwork, even the original metal card with engine specs and everything stamped on it.

heres some photos.

I just finished putting this back together after repairing the rear quarter and painting it. It was my first real attempt at painting a car. On the whole, I think it came out pretty well.

Beautiful. I have a soft spot for this body. All of these great 115's make me want to get to work on mine.
