OM636 injector nozzles
Appears they are not anywhere to be had in the US. Bosch DNO SD2110
part # 0 434 250 012. However, I can find Monark nozzles for the 190D engine, which is the brand I would prefer, was wondering if these would work well enough or are compatible? At least I could get this engine up and running again-it will be used as a stationary engine. I have contacted Sean but haven't any solid leads. Thanks. ~Loren Knighton |

Called the Thermoking office in SoCal since this is a Thermoking unit-they don't have any MBZ parts and had no idea where to find them-this from the parts manager. I looked on Ebay.de I don't read or speak German so that won't work. The search goes on.

Those Monark nozzle listed for 190D is for the 601 engine, not compatible. My local Bosch re-builder advised me to use nozzles from 621 engines in my 636. Worked great until the I/P gave up the ghost (Not from the nozzles, just old age)

Just to update this thread, I ended up buying a set of new Bosch nozzles off an Ebay vendor out of the UK. Built my own pop tester from a porta power pump and balanced all within 50psi. Spray pattern was much improved over the old nozzles. Engine runs fine but #3 hole will not light off-even switched injectors and still won't light off. All compression readings are over 300psi. The engine smokes pretty bad but when I loosen the collar on the hard line at the #3 injector and fuel starts spitting out the exhaust is clean-no smoke from the other functional cylinders. Double checked my valve clearances-all spec. Pop off pressure is right at 2100psi. I am flummoxed as to why that one hole will not light. Is it possible the IP is somehow putting too much fuel through the #3 line?
Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ~Loren |

Fought with this beast today and decided to bleed the #3 injector again by not running the engine simply by spinning it with the starter. Whadya know when I went to start it-it lit off on all four and stayed that way. Exhaust cleaned up until zero smoke. Very happy. Note to self: when you think all air is bled-it may well be it is not.
So after sitting for 20 years it now purrs. |

What kind of OM636 vehicle do you have: 170D or 180D or Unimog?
