250se / 280se fuel injector pump

I have two of these one off a scrap 280se motor and the other one fitted to the 280se motor I am fitting into my car. Niether of them is fitted with a solenoid I have several photos of these engines which show a solanoid on the back. I cant see where one would fix on either of mine or what it would operate.

Any information welcome

The solenoid is the cold start solenoid. When the ignition key is operated the solenoid moves the fuel rack to full fuel so the car can start easier. Pumps with two solenoids are American market only ,the second solenoid shuts off the fuel on the over run etc for Emissions.
