Is my thinking correct?
So I have a 1972 250C/114 and 130 923 12013047 engine #; car has ac with front ac cooling radiator and fan; my water pump is the early short neck which seems to be for pre-72 instead of the long neck which is what is called for if a '72; so I figure they would have been like Porsche in the day and could have popped one on from and early car or is it because of the ac?

I think you should have a visco fan clutch
If you have a visco clutch, then the water pump will be the short style with 4 bolts and a 6-blade fan (I think).

That is it. Nothing to do with ac or parts bins; I do have the clutch and fan. Thanks. I find it helps most of the time to ask; seems to always be more information and something not thought of.
