Occasional double starts
Every now and again, when I go start my car, hot or cold, it'll take once for a second and then die, and second attempt is successful.
I've heard this problem plagues 65'- 70 Plymouth cars, and is related to the ignition resistors...but that could be another problem altogether..

Is your car a diesel? (SD) . and yes old Mopars were a bugger for having lousy ballast resistors.

That behaviour crops up in all the older Bosch systems as they age, in my experience.
Your 450 has CIS, yes? Sorry I haven't had my head in the 116 gasser world for a very long time....
