Plastic air idle screw stuck

Big white Slotted plastic screw to adjust idle will not move in any direction. Im afraid if given too much force, I'll break it. Any advice? Thanks!

Soaked it twice, no success. Soaking it overnight again. It appears to be normally screwed in. I'll try to upload a photo.

Also in the same car, Looks like it doesn't have a fuel accumulator? Is this possible for a manual controlled FI? Or did the PO messed around with it? Can't find it and with how big the part is it would seem that It can't be missed

Thanks!

OK I need to back up here , you have a K jet system correct? The AAV is not adjustible like a Djet. To check - take it off and cool it, see if it closes , open when warm, no real fix other than replace .. Djets have a metal screw......the accumulator should be by the fuel pump

I guess that cleared my confusion. Since the injectors are manually controlled, the white plastic screw cannot/will not move right? My injectors do not have any electronic attachments to them. I have the AAV soaking in wd-40 right now. Soaked it overnight in carb cleaner as well. Will do tests on it tomorrow.

I had the car up on a hoist and I already bought the acumulator so I know what it looks like. Followed the fuel filter hose where this should be attached and it wasn't there! The fuel filter is in a bracket with the fuel pump and nothing else. I've seen photos of where the accumulator is on other peoples car, mine is not there. Been having hard warm starts so I thought I'd replaced it.

Thanks!

I have three K-jet cars---all with the white plastic air adjustment screw. Stuck on one of mine also( a 1980 450 sel)---and, like the poster, i'm afraid to break it. used penetrating oil to no avail. must be a fix short of disassembly. Who wants to be the hero?
