W115 P/S ID

My MB manual doesn't which P/S box went with which year and model. Is the only way to know by getting the part number from the box? I want to make sure I use the right procedure for getting air out of the lines after replacing the PO/S pump. Thanks.

I checked EPC and could not get a reliable part number, been a few variants , you may need to get it off or try to visualize it as the only way

Are there really different procedures for different part #s? Just jack up the front, open the bleed screw on the box, attach a clear hose, run engine and bleed fluid into a container while adding new until it's clear (moving the steering right and left all the way and making sure the reservoir doesn't empty). Then put the end of the tube into the reservoir and just keep recycling the clean fluid while moving the steering until there are no bubbles.

My power steering was wonky until I did this. There was alot of gunky fluid and air that came out when the steering went all the way left and right. Runs perfect now.
