Zebrano? When I had mine in the '70's, I was told that Mercedes kept the block of wood from which my 6.3 interior was crafted and could replace the wood.

Anyone ever hear that?

yes,i heard that as well, they did two set per car,so one set must be sitting in stuttgart somewhere.....

Stripping the wood?

Did you strip the finish off the wood? Do you have any advice on how you did this? What chemicals did you use? What varnish did you use for your finish?

Looks beautiful.
