Palco Dashtop
I just received a Palco plastic dashtop for my '74 280C.
It looks like a pretty good fit. Any tips on installation? Is the silicone goop really necessary? Tim Kraakevik kraakevik@voyager.net 630 474-9164 |

Make sure your dash if flat. If there are any cracks that have the raised sides, trim them with a razor blade.
I would definitely use the provided glue, you don't want the cap popping off in an inopportune moment. bye, Csaba currently Benzless |

The dashtop seems a little too wide (maybe 3-4mm) at the inboard edge between the roof pillars--might get the coupe out in the sun to see if the old dash expands enough to pop the new one on

For god's sake don't use anything else in the way of an adhesive.
The genius who put one on my '79 300sd used epoxy, which promoted it deforming from UV. When I tried to take it off... well it was a sad mess underneath when I got done. The irony was that the dash wasn't that bad, just one crack. All the damage was from the effing epoxy.
