swapping seats

So I'm wondering if I could put the seats from a W123 or W124 into my W115. I don't care that it won;t look stock. But it seems I can get some decent 123 sears for far less than the cost of redoing the old ones.

Thanks.

I have W123 seats in my 76 240D.
Just remove the height adjustment from the 123 seats and replace it with two lengths of 1" by 2" square tubing.
You also need longer bolts.

Can you take a couple of pictures? One of the fabed brackets and one so we can see how well the seats fit and the general appearance?

Any metal supply / fabrication shop should have it.
Maybe even your local hardware store.

if you'd like a bit more headroom you can also use 1x1 tubing.

Would W201 seats be an option? Has any one tried it? I been thinking about trying it for my 76 w115 but the w123 looks good too

Thanks
