My New 280C

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to introduce my new 1973 280C. I'd kinda had my eye out for a W114 for a while with every intention of swapping in a diesel. Well, I found this little girl instead & it's way too nice to do that too. Oh well...

Seller hadn't really driven the car in a year & when I arrived he couldn't get it started. The price took a dramatic dive immediately & I towed it home the next day. Turned out to be a lose wire btw the dizzy & coil. Fired right off after that.

EVERYTHING under the hood is new. Every wire/hose/connector/etc. Brand new plugs/wires/points/etc/etc/etc. And there's not a lick of rust ANYWHERE; car was in CA/AZ until a few years ago. I'm not used to having cars this clean & it makes me nervous... lol.

Except the alternator seems to have gone south. But I can handle that.

That's a HUGE savings right there. I'm in the process of sourcing new rubber hoses for the cooling system, fuel lines and such. Adds up real fast.

Good work on getting one already done!
