I would probably buy 23 $1000 dollars cars and then complain that I have too many cars :)

But it is certainly pretty. Click on the picture:

So that's what my interior looked like when it was new:)

That is very nice right there.

Very cool, but that's insane money.

I love the rev counter. It's the second W114 that I've ever seen with one.

Wow they don't half look too bad when they are in good nick - I've never really liked them until now.

Wish mine was that nice!

That sure looks like Metallic Moss Green. I have only seen one ore two other cars in that color(other than mine)

Al,
I think that tach is an add on in the 'after mkt.' category? Or from a 6.3? I'm not sure though. If you know other wise please let me know... This car was featured in 'The Star' as the seller states or if I remember correctly it was actually in the 'Mercedes Classic's' edition...? I'm going to see if I can locate the magazine. In it , the owner at that time , went through the details on what had been done to this car. I vaguely remember him mentioning the rev counter.....Anyway , it's all foggy and I'll look for the issue asap...

It's original, I have an article on my www.stroke8.org website from motor magazine in 1974. They tested a W114 280E with a 5 speed that also had a rev counter.

I do remember this car being in the star magazine. It was a while ago, probably around 2004.

The ivory interior looks so inviting. I wonder how many times you could sit on the seat before it would get dirty?

For me, probably about once...

The tach looks big, or at least bigger than the clock on mine. It does not appear to be set as far back in the cluster as the other gauges.

Cool car, has high cool-points with the bumpers and euro lights.

That tach looks aftermarket too, sits out and has a different bezel.

I'd settle for a fixed clock and a tach low under the dash.

It's currently at $12.5 - not a bad price for that car. Love it, btw.

mercmad6.3 11-02-2011 06:47 PM

I have a mate in Germany who has a W108 250S with the same rev counter. they differ from the 6.3 in the 6.3 item only redlines at 5300 RPM. His 250S is also the only W108 ever built by Daimler with air suspension.
