Cool car, but look at the rocker panel and rear quarter rust. The floors are probably gone, too. I think mine was in better condition, was daily driver quality, had a near mint condition interior with no sun damage, factory tinted glass, A/C, and I couldn't even sell it for $1,200 on eBay.

Appears to be a manual column shift. I understand your temptation all too well. If everything goes well my fintail should get here tomorrow.

I was more shocked to see a fintail for sale in my area! I can do floors, no problem, I just don't have the time, or the extra money right now. I already have a W116 I need to get back on the road..

Sorry, but that's a parts car with the rust that's visible on the photo. When rockers are that far gone, the rest of the structure is shot. No amount of repairing will ever make that car right again. Sure, you could spend huge amounts of time and/or money, but that would be pretty stupid, given that this is a base car, not a W111 cabriolet.

Saskatoon has a long cold winter and that means lots of road salt. That is the enemy of these cars. Choose wisely.
