108/109 rear lateral strut bushings
Hi guys, I've ordered replacement bushings but am looking for tips on how to swap out the old lateral strut bushings (#s 384 and 371 in the attached diagram). I was hoping not to have to drop the rear end to handle it and thought I'd check in first. Thanks

Looks like the same rear end as my finny. I just did this job and it is very easy without dropping the rear end. Remove the lock nut and nut at the outboard end of cross strut, then remove bolts #379 and #375 and disassemble the shackle. The strut pulls out to the inside with plenty of clearance. Replace rubbers in proper order and bolt up. You should realign the rear end after doing this.
Don't make the mistake when ordering parts that I did. There are two #384 and #371 bushings. The parts page makes it look like there is only one in both cases.

That long bolt also centers the rear axle. Make sure you get the two (2) large bushings. You might also want to get new cup plates as well, the older ones can get bent.
#386, 382.
