W115 Fixmyrust.com

First, this is a little bit of an intro, rant and finally a plea for help.

I purchased and 1975 300D. Mint exterior, strong engine, but a tired interior.

The drivers side rear portion of the floor pan needs to be replaced. After googling, I found fixmyrust.com and was stoked to see they had the part and the price was even better. But it was too good to be true. Jeremy was at first helpful, but quickly became rude, and then simply refused to sell me the part.

So now I need help where else can I get a new pan? Most of the other sites I have come across don't have any for the w114/w115

Thanks

Tried that. He charged my credit card and in the confirmation email said he will not ship the part. Now I'm trying to get my money back and ordered one from Hokkleholm USA.

How did you order from them? It seems to say "No sales to private persons" on their website. How much was the floor?

EDIT: Nevermind, I was looking at the wrong Klokkerholm website, not www.klokkerholmusa.com

I was going to order them from FixMyRust - what exactly went wrong? Thanks for the heads up. I will order directly from Klokkerholm. The price is a bit higher, but it cuts out the middle man - and a lot of potential issues.

On December 19th I inquired through email about getting a panel from him. he promptly replied saying they had it in stock, but he didnt know how much shipping to Canada would be. I mentioned that I had a ups freight account so it wouldnt be a problem. He agreed to have the panel ready on a pallet and ups could get it at anytime. I then attempted to chekout out on the website, but there was no way to avoid paying the shipping charges through that method, so i called and emailed. In one day i left 2 messages, and then i left one the following day, none of which were replied to.

On the 20th I said screw it and paid online, Jeremy sent an email confirmation and said ups could come get it.

On the 21st i was informed by ups that there was nothing there for pickup. Called Jeremy, no anwser.

On the 27th ups tried again to get it, same outcome. I called and emailed Jeremy told him to ship it via his own means and I would pay the bill.

On January 4th, I see that according to his websites confirmation my order was now on hold. I called and there was no answer. I emailed and within minutes he replies saying that my panel had been sitting on the dock and his workers were complaining it was in the way. I explain that ups had called me, while they were there and that I could not get ahold of anyone at his shop, and that there was apparently no package availble for pickup.

His reply was, "" dont expect your panel, we will cancel the order.

I would rather work this out, i said. He then goes on a rant about how I have been harrasing him and his employees and proceeds to say "enjoy Canada, what a joke".

He then charged me yet again instead of refunding the first order, and stopped replying.
Good thing i paid by credit card.

And thats my experience with fixmyrust.com

Horrible situation. You wanted to do business & all you rec'd. was frustration . Luckily you have lost nothing but time and now can move on. Have you checked with KKMFG.COM? If they don't stock the item you need, ask if they can get it or refer you to someone that does have it. Try Mercedes too. Get the part # even if you are told it isn't available. Definitely post in the wanted section of this site too. You'll get what you need .
