is there a website where I can get a VIN look up
I was searching for a free no cost site to do a free VIN look up of car history
It seems no such a place exists If I must pay $40.00 so me it. If I can pay zero much better thanks for your input. Bill |
Here you go
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/2844671-post11.html And welcome to the forum (I see you are on post #3)! EDIT - Ignore the fact that the link says it is not working - I've posted a link for an alternative site |
The answer may be dependent on what car you have and where you are. Don't keep it a secret.

I think that he's looking for a carfax or something similar.

Nicb.org (I think that's the site) let's you look up to see I the car has been stolen and if it is on a current "hot" list. Aside from that you pretty much have to pay...for the use of the data and the development of the interface. Carfax sometimes runs specials where you can get unlimited vin lookups for a period of time...pretty cheap usually and helpful if you're running multiple cars through when you're shopping around.

I guess you'll need to pay for that then. |
Which model and what year. VIN's came out in 1982 or 3 and the older chassis numbers cannot be checked via the usual sites.
