1957 220s just bought webasto top
just paid too much for a 57 220S, does not run and needs a fair amount of work , body is in great shape. most of the wood is there, needs refinishing. if you need any parts cars or parts close to NC i am interested. i need all window , door and trunk seals. post pics when it gets here.

i am in Asheville. i dont know where to start . the car does not run, nor does it have a key(s). i need to get the top and headliner sorted out. i am not that concerned about the woodwork as i am pretty handy in that arena. i would like to get the thing running. also i am sure there are other models and years that i can get parts from that may or not be so expensive, i.e. lens covers, engine parts . any help on where to start is appreciated. i need to figure a way to try and start the engine because i think the key thing will take a while and i am very anxious to hear it run.
