can't find the pin to remove my steering wheel lock assembly
I have the early model, i got my tumbler out but that's it.

it is easier if the instrument cluster is out and the steering wheel is off.
The U clamp on the lock stalk on the column should be loosend right off and if you look on the stalk by the clamp you will see the small round pin sticking through a hole . With it unlocked, the pin should push in and you can then twist the lock out of the stalk. But it must be unlocked, the pin will not go in other wise. |

Undo the battery negative terminal.
There are two bolts under the ignition lock. One holds the lock and the other holds the column clamp and the lock. Remove the instrument cluster, one large wing nut, one oil line, one spedo cable and the electrical connector. The lock is accessible from the cluster hole. There are wires attached to the switch. There is a nut that needs to to be undone from the cluster hole.

It's hard finding info on how to remove this old style tumbler !
