Thumbs up This LOOKS like a hell of a deal!

This looks like exactly what I'm looking for but could be a bad idea. What do you guys think?

And just how are you planning on getting the non-running car home? Spending another $1000 on shipping from CA? In a month or two I'll have for sale at the same price my '71 220 Diesel in almost as nice looking condition but you can drive it anywhere.

$2500 for a non-runner? possibly a timing chain? It better do more than shine for $2500.

Nice looking car, but overpriced at $2500 even if it ran perfectly.

It will cost $800 to get it to DC, and $1000 to fix the engine if you are lucky and do the work yourself. Then the trouble with non-runners is that you get to find problems with suspension and transmission, and brakes.

Then you have at least $4,000 in a $2,000 car.

The 220 is a black hole as far as engine manuals go. Not that they are terribly complicated, though.

But if you do it you can use my engine hoist and stand!

Did you see the 250SE in Richmond on ebay?

Don't

I Have A Case Of Beer (your choice) If You Can Get The Engine In It For Less Than $3000. You Can Even Use My Engine Hoist.
Chuck it cost $850 to get the eBay Beast in from Iowa- Probably $1800 from Ca.

Thanks for the input. So this is a no go then. Exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I figure if I'm flexible (i.e patient) I could get it hear for about $600 but could be more. But if the thing is just plain not worth it, forget it.

Thanks again, I'll keep looking then.
