280SE 4.5 Fuel problem
I am having a problem with my wife's 4.5. When I purchased it this past fall, it was not firing on cylinder's 4 and 8. I was told that this was most likely caused by the trigger points. I replaced them and still no fuel to those two cylinders. The car ran fine when parked six months before I bought it. Any idea's? The fuel control module? If so, where and how much? Thanks for any help.

Check the injectors by listening with a mechanics stethoscope or use a long screwdriver placed on the injector with the handle on your ear. If you determine that one or more is not firing, use a "noid" light or a test light to test for signal reaching the injector. Try a fuel injector cleaner if these check o.k. as the sitting seems to affect the fuel system on these cars.

missing 4.5
check the wires at the connector near the dist.
They sometimes get wet from coolant. |
