280sel stalls

hello, this is my first time posting on this forum and was hoping someone could help me out. I'm looking to purchase a 1970 280sel but it stalls if it's running and you open either of the back doors. not sure if it would be a vacuum leak and just wondering if anyone has any ideas, thanks

Sounds like wiring, but I would try to isolate vacuum and wiring as the cause.

Wiring: start engine, turn on rear cabin lamp using switch on dash. See if it stalls. If it doesn't, turn it off, then open both rear doors. Push in both R & L door pin switches to simulate the doors being closed. Start engine (with your third 5' long arm) then release one or both door pins and see if it stalls. There could be a ground issue.

Vacuum: In the engine compartment, disconnect the vaccum line for the locks (thin hard plastic line) and block off the port it goes to. Start engine. Open port little by little and see if it stalls. Could be on the lean side and a leak kills it.

Good luck and post a pic of the car. BTW, which engine does it have?
