Car: 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300C Kombiwagen
Owner: Lee Munder From: Palm Beach, FL This one of a kind estate wagon was ordered through Mercedes-Benz and custom built in collaboration with Binz Coachbuilders of Belgium for Mrs. Caroline R. Foulke of New York. We believe this to be the rarest of all post war Mercedes-Benz’s produced. Mrs. Foulke maintained yachts in New York and in the Mediterranean with residences in New York, Palm Beach and Paris. This Station Wagon was regularly transported by air between Mrs. Foulke’s homes and has logged more miles in the air than on land. Hatch & Sons just completely restored the interior with all new red leather, Wilton Wool carpeting and wool headliner. We also removed the drive train and did a complete mechanical upgrade as well as an engine bay detail.
