It is not a 250E but a 250: the engine has a carburettor.

The answer to the original question is, "no". Probably couldn't even get it licensed for use. Might get lucky and slide it by some un-observant inspector but I wouldn't count on it.

it's over 25 years old. It can be brought to the USA and titled without much issues if you know the route.

Very true it wouldn't be much trouble at all to import, I've seen a couple 240D Langs pop up on ebay, they never seemed to do more than like $7k.
3000 euro, plus shipping, exchange rates, any recon or mechanical work it may need, etc. Not much meat on the bone if you're trying to go into business here. |

I have seen them from time to time on the roads but not often by any means. I think they would make a great family car for someone for road trips or a weekend getaway, and possibly as a livery car as a "vintage" auto, but as for collectability I don't think there is a huge market aside from "professional car" collectors, not meaning experts but collectors of livery, funeral and airport cars... professional.

I would love it! Registering it in California were smog laws are very tough won't be easy. It would have to be a no smog state....believe it would have more value if it was a diesel....I always wanted one to make into a mobile home...

It appears to be a real limo. The taxi versions of this extended 123 have a small 'oddiments' cubby in the center of the dash where the meter was meant to go.

I remember seeing these when I was growing up in Rome.
Were these built by MB, or an outside firm? Csaba |

The four-door version of the limo was built by MB, there are some very rare six-door versions, those were built by Boonakker in the Netherlands.

it would be a push to get a "collector" to bite , but I agree it would be fun to have. Looks to be in fair shape , most limos were cared for at least when they were actually used as limos. $4 grand US, hope that is negotiable
In needs some lovin tho, wonder when it last traveled on the road?
