S08 cams

I found a gray market 1985 500SEC at a salvage yard. I looked at the left cam and it is marked S08 (or 80S, or somesuch, as I was looking at it upside down and with a mirror, so I'm not sure).
Are these better than US spec cams for hydraulic 'lifter' engines? MY buddy has a 560 engine they could go into.
Thanks,

Csaba

08/09 cam pairs are standard US spec for 4.2L (420) and 5.0L (500).
They would be somewhat of a downgrade for a 560.
