finding the right fuel pump

I've got to replace a fuel pump on a 1963 220s. A previous owner tried to stop a leak with some epoxy on the outside of the pump.

I am having a hard time finding the right replacement. I am not opposed to putting in an electric pump but I want to go with the most reliable and simple method.
What you would recommend?
And where do I find it?
Thank you

When I needed a pump for my w110, I couldn't find the pump or even a rebuild kit. I did find a Vaico brand pump that was specified for my car and it was cheap so I thought I would try it.

Bad move. It was a different design, cheaply made, and constantly leaked oil out of the weep hole, although it did work.

I ended up putting an electric fuel pump on the car (Carter 5070--about $80, iirc). It works fine but I've had to get used to the noise which is quite noticeable.

I just got a fuel pump from Mercedes Benz Classic. I have a '67 230S. A beautiful piece that bolted right on.
