I may have screwed up... w108 exhaust manifold

A few days ago I installed the right side cylinder head on the w108.
There are two exhaust manifolds on that side, and one was removed earlier for painting. After I torqued the cyl head bolts, it hit me: can I get the manifold back in there with the head in place??? Hmm, I'll find out tomorrow. Might have to remove the battery tray, I heard they are removable (I hope so!).

You can. It's a tight squeeze and you may need assorted 12mm box wrenches and flex bits but it can be done.

It is really tight but it should work. Depending on which manifold is installed you might need to remove the second before installing. If I recall correctly there is a sequence. Hope your studs are in good shape.

Success!

Did it this afternoon. I had to remove the upper studs, but they were in good shape.

Nice work. What paint did you use on your manifolds?

Great job, look so nice! The studs can be a pita if they don't want to move or even break. Lucky you.

Thanks! It's Wurth hi-temp paint. My colleague used to be a Wurth rep so it was free. We'll see how long it lasts, the prep was not that great - I'm in a bit of a hurry as I'd like to get the car running soon.
