72 350sl right indicator light not staying on

Any body know where I should be looking to correct this one........just got this 350sl, right indicator will not staying on by itself and the left stays on but you have to hold it for a few seconds for it to stay.

could simply be the rubber boot at the base, they sometimes rip or get folded and dont allow the stalk movement it needs
OTOH could be the turn stalk itself, gotta remove it and see if the mechanics are working, there are brass tabs and such, pretty self explanitory when you take it off

You might also check the bulbs and make sure they are making good contact. I have to hold one side on my 72 because I am too lazy to remove one light and clean the contacts.

The flasher could also be faulty. I forget where that is

Haven't had that problem, but great that Kent does those DIY videos.
