schematic wire notations

hi folks,

what standard did MB use on their schematics to indicate wire size? here are some examples of what numbers i see:

battery-starter: 25
GP fuse-GPs: 4
horn switch-ground: 1.5
rear light assemblies-ground: .75

what units are these?

The W124 manual indicates that it is the cross section in mm.

That would seem to make sense except for the battery-starter: 25
