I am looking for recommendations on a place where I could order braided stainless steel brake hoses for a 1965 230sl.

I have found a company in New York state called Star Quality to be a great source of everything for 230/250/280SLs. Their phone number for orders is 1-800-STAR-199. They have a terrific catalog they'll mail you, too.

I echo the recomendation on Star Quality. They are also knowledgable and provide good advice on most projects ... almost as good as this board.
Why the desire for stainless brake lines? On a car of this age, replace all brake lines and gas lines. Last year I had my gas tank out and one of the gas lines broke like a wooden pencil. Since you are asking about brake lines, you are probably replacing them, be sure to replace all of them. Original Mercedes parts work well and always look correct. Jim Villers 190SL, 230SL |
