WTB Clean W115 300D

Hey all, hope it's okay to post this in this section.

I've fallen in love with the 114/115 chassis and the diesels in particular, and I'm looking for a clean 300D. I'm located in Portland, OR, so obviously something closer in is preferred, but I will travel if needed. I've got cash in hand, and I'm willing to pay a good price for the right car!

Lemme know what you've got! Thanks! :)

(OK, it's older, and not a 300D)

Lots of them in Portland right now. I missed a 1979 240D at the auction a few weeks ago...it went for $2000. I was out of town and missed it.

Good luck!

syD: OP expressed interest in w115s.

OP: You might consider reposting in the classified section of the site. You will probably have better luck. Why the W115 300D? I see way more 220Ds and 240Ds, so they are going to be easier to find spare parts for in salvage yards. Less power, but cheaper to own.

I understand that, but thanks for the correction.

My intent was that he consult the Google machine or at least attempt a Craigslist search.

There are a bunch of them in Portland right now, was my only point.

I know the 300s are rare, but given how down on power all of these old diesels are, I'd rather have the model with the most power. If that means I've got to wait a while for the right car, so be it. Thanks for the advice - I'll put an ad in the classifieds :)

As you'll no doubt observe from clicking on the links you've provided, those are not 300Ds, nor are they even diesel. I've spent plenty of time thus far searching around, and at least on the west coast, there is a single 300D for sale in Lodi, and I was not impressed after speaking with the car's representative on the phone. Hence why I'm asking on here.

Not any of what he is looking for. I suspect it will be difficult to find a 1976 300D in good condition for sale. There are a few out there, but in good condition they are usually not for sale.

Good luck with your search.
